Meg Styles, MPA

President & Founder (ex officio director)

Meg brings to The Gretta Foundation her love for nurses and passion for women’s empowerment.

From 2006 to 2008, Meg was the Community Relations Director for Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance (GAIA), a nonprofit organization that provides community-based HIV prevention and care in Sub-Saharan Africa. In her role, Meg oversaw and maintained GAIA’s faith-based support.

Prior to entering into the nonprofit field, Meg worked in the corporate sector. In her roles as senior property manager and a licensed sales associate, she attained comprehensive skills in business operations, annual budgeting and forecasting, project management, leasing and marketing and financial reporting through her 13 years in multitenant office and high-rise commercial real estate.

Meg holds a B.A. degree from San Francisco State University and an M.P.A. (Masters Public Administration) with her graduate emphasis in public policy from California State University East Bay.

William L. Holzemer, RN, PhD, FAAN

Dr. William L. Holzemer is an internationally recognized expert in academic nursing and HIV/AIDS care, providing global leadership to the World Health Organization, the International Council of Nurses, and many universities around the world. He has served as consultant and external reviewer for national and international academic nursing programs.

His research focuses upon self-care, family care, and nursing care for people living with and affected by the global HIV/AIDS pandemic, specifically in the areas of symptom assessment and management, medication adherence, stigma, and quality of life. The goal of this work is to improve the quality of HIV/AIDS care.

Tania Hanson-De Young

Secretary and Director, The Gretta Foundation

For the past 14 years Tania has worked as a community volunteer in the areas of education and philanthropy. Most notable of her numerous positions, Tania has managed a faith-based program for seven years and expanded it into the community.

This program provides and distributes gifts during the holiday season and includes a program that recycles and repairs donated bikes for distribution to the working poor. Tania was also a board member for five years for a fundraiser that benefited the local school district’s education foundation. Tania has been the liaison for numerous nonprofit philanthropic organizations including Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance, Monument Crisis Center, and Fresh Start.

A graduate of Saint Mary’s College with a B.A in History, Tania has a professional background in the wholesale sector. Tania worked for six years for a national food manufacturer and distributor most recently as the Director of Administration. Responsibilities included all aspects of human resources as well as oversight of the sales support team. Prior to that Tania worked for a wholesale French import firm in several capacities but lastly as a Business Manager. Responsibilities included purchasing, inventory control, foreign relations, and sales.

Carol Anne Manning, CPM, RPA

Chief Financial Officer, The Gretta Foundation
Broker–Associate, Prudential California Realty

Carol has 20 years experience in commercial and residential real estate. Since 2003, she has been a self-employed real estate broker specializing in the San Francisco East Bay area.

Prior to 2003, Carol’s professional focus was multitenant, industrial, and office commercial real estate. As Vice President of Operations of Redding Management, Inc, (1992-1998), Carol directed the finance and operations functions to include maintaining and monitoring financial systems, financial report generation and analysis, annual budgeting, cash management and project accounting.

As Senior Regional Manager for the Cranbrook Group, (1998-2003) Carol’s oversight encompassed 18 office and industrial complexes comprised of approximately three million square feet. Her oversight responsibilities included annual budgeting and financial forecasting, expense variance reporting, rental income stream, CAM increases and recaps, and lease negotiation and documentation.

Carol is committed to community service as evidenced in her volunteering in multiple local organizations such as the Foundation for Change and as manager of a competitive soccer team. Since 1999 Carol has shared her comprehensive financial skills as an active member of her church’s financial committee.

Laura Windisch

Director, The Gretta Foundation
Project Manager, Kizmo Design

Laura’s experience in design and marketing ranges from brand development and positioning to websites and collateral. She has contributed to these projects through strategy, design, copywriting, photography, and project management. In her current position at Kizmo, she is focused on the user experience component of great design.

Laura has worked both with large corporations and non-profits, including those in healthcare and education. She has been involved in the V-Day movement to raise awareness about violence against women and children and raise funds for local women's charities.

A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Laura holds a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Art History. She also holds a graphic design certification from the Multimedia Studies Program at San Francisco State University, with an expert certification in Adobe PhotoShop.

Marie-Louise Juslin

Director, The Gretta Foundation
Marketing Manager, Ann Hill Communications

Marie-Louise has managed a number of successful and diverse public relations and marketing campaigns for over five years. In her current position at Ann Hill Communications, Marie-Louise is involved in conducting research studies and reports; writing press releases, newsletters, ads, and brochures; and developing media lists and pitching stories.

As a marketing manager at a mid-size medical office, Marie-Louise has experience working in the healthcare industry. Marie-Louise has also been active in the non-profit sector as a co-founder of an organization affiliated with the global V-Day movement to stop violence against women and girls.

Marie-Louise holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature as well as French Language and Culture from the University of California, Santa Barbara. A Finnish-American, she speaks several languages and has taught high school English in France.
